Country Music events

Last night we went to the Grand Ole Opry and watched the Crossroads Celebrity Concert. Every year they invite outstanding children choruses from all over the USA and Canada to play at Nashville. Yesterday  it was the turn of the Antelope Valley Children's Choir from California, who also sang with the famous soprano Kallen Esperian, Brodway's Tom Wopat who also was one of the Dukes of Hazzard series, and the Riders in the Sky. It was sooo much fun! I especially enjoyed the Riders of the Sky, who plaid together for 36 years and still make hit songs, such as the title song for Toy Story II. Unfortunately we were not allowed to take any photos.


Today we visitesd the Country Music Hall of Fame which I truly enjoyed. The feature artist for the nexsot six months is Miranda Lambert. They had some cars there that were just incredible, but impossible to make pictures of because they were kept behind glass. One of Elvis Presley's favorite cars was there which had 24 carat gold additions, a record player inside and crushed diamonds in the paint. Beautiful car but what insanity.


 Took a swim and nap and a walk with Otto this afternoon. This was it for our Nashville visit. We'll be on the road again tomorrow. But, I do want to come back here! Pictures below!

Gestern Abend besuchten wir die Grand Ole Opry, die jedes Jahr im Sommer gute Kindergruppen einladen dort zu singen. Wir sahen die Antelope Valley Children's Choir von Kalifornien, die auch mitsangen als die beruemte Sopranistin Kallen Esperian, Brodway's Tom Wopat, und die Riders in the Sky auftraten. Wir hatten viel Spass! Ich mochte vor allem die Riders in the Sky, die seit 36 Jahren zusammen auftreten und noch immer Erfolg mit Hitsongs haben, wie die Titelmusik fuer den Kinderfilm Toy Story II.  Leider durften keine Fotos gemacht werden.


Heute waren wir in der Country Music Hall of Fame. Die Hauptausstellung fuer die naechsten 6 Monate ist Miranda Lambert gewidmet. Die Ausstellung hatte auch ein paar Autos, die man leider nicht hinter dem Glas hat aufnehmen koennen. Eines der Autos war total mit Silber und Muenzen ausgeschmueckt, doch das Auto von Elvis Presley (eines seiner Lieblingsautos ... ich glaube er hatte so um die 100) machte mich sprachlos. Die Aussenspiegel und Lichtumrahmungen waren 24 Karat Gold und die Farbe enthielt Diamantensplinter. Unglaublich schoen zum Anschauen, doch was fuer ein Wahnsinn.


Sind geschwommen und hielten ein Nachmittagschlaefchen und fuehrten Otto spazieren. Morgen geht die Reise weiter, doch ich komme noch einmal nach Nashville.
Die Verbindung ist schlecht in letzter Zeit. Bilder kommen nach so bald ich kann!
